Senior Manager, Life Sciences and Innovation Specialist

The Senior Manager, Life Sciences and Innovation position at TSX Inc. is a critical component of the Capital Formation Group. Reporting to the Managing Director, Global Innovation Sector, this role is responsible for developing new listings for TSX/TSXV in the life sciences sector, positioning TSX/TSXV as a central destination for Canadian and small-to-midcap international companies to list.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Foster extensive relationships with key local stakeholders and influencers, including investment banks, securities lawyers, accountants, advisors, investors, associations, governments, and company executives.
- Value Proposition: Articulate the unique value proposition for TSX/TSXV relative to other domestic and global exchanges, ensuring strong alignment and working partnerships with collaborators that facilitate listings on the stock exchange.
- Business Development: Identify, initiate, and qualify opportunities to maintain a balanced funnel with a continuous focus on moving opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Sales Activities: Document sales activities in Salesforce and provide regular opportunity pipeline and forecast updates and reports as needed.
- Thought Leadership: Develop and deliver thought leadership materials for the Exchanges on the opportunities for life science companies to access capital.
- Education: Post-secondary education, preferably a Bachelor of Commerce or MBA or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5-10 years of consultative selling experience, including financial products and services.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus, and presentation experience.
- Tools: Experience with PowerPoint and Excel, and presentations to C-Level executives.
- Collaboration: Collaborative teammate who can work efficiently with numerous partners.
- Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of the capital markets and familiarity with Salesforce CRM or similar/equivalent sales tools.
- Travel: Travel is a requirement of the role.
