We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner Assistant to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide direct care to patients/residents/clients under the supervision of a practicing Nurse Practitioner (NP), Registered Nurse (RN), or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients/residents/clients by performing various nursing functions/activities, including administering medications, conducting assessments, and managing intravenous infusions.
- Assess, document, and report the current health status of assigned patients/residents/clients by collecting relevant documentation and observing patient condition.
- Collaborate with the nursing team, multi-disciplinary team members, and community care partners to develop and modify health care plans.
- Evaluate patient/resident/client response to the health care plan and modify interventions as necessary.
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as an Employed Student Registrant.
- Continued enrollment in a recognized nursing education program.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Successful completion of a medical/surgical or mental health/substance use clinical practicum or equivalent.
