Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, B.C. This is a relief part-time 0.75fte position within our small Lab team. The successful candidate will work in a supportive, team-based environment and perform a variety of duties within Chemistry, Hematology and Transfusion Medicine as well as performing venipuncture.
About the Role
As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for:
• Performing routine and/or complex tests, utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments
• Entering data into the Lab Information System (LIS), related systems and programs
• Validating and reporting test results
• Maintaining instruments, preparing solutions and control agents
• Contributing to training, evaluation and improvement programs
