About the Role

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and coaching a small team of laboratory staff, coordinating daily inpatient and outpatient activities, and providing technical guidance to lab staff. You will also facilitate workplace solutions, promote continuous learning, and ensure that policies, procedures, accreditation, and safety standards are maintained.

About the Location

The Queen Victoria Hospital is a Level 1 Community Hospital located in Revelstoke, between Salmon Arm and Golden. The hospital offers a range of services, including acute care, laboratory, obstetrics, and emergency. Revelstoke is a unique and desirable community that offers a range of recreational activities, including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, climbing, canoeing, snowmobiling, and backcountry skiing.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Medical Laboratory Technologist certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligibility for membership with CSMLS/BCSLS
  • A minimum of three years' recent experience as a general duty technologist in a medical laboratory
  • A minimum of one year recent leadership experience
