Job Summary

The Track Supervisor will be responsible for managing and directing a crew of workers to deliver a successful project by meeting or exceeding safety goals, quality standards, production rates, schedule, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to industry and company policies and procedures.
  • Review project contracts and documents to plan work and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Develop and execute day-to-day operations on assigned projects, ensuring proper resources are in place for timely completion.
  • Conduct daily briefings with crew to review production goals, performance feedback, safety, and schedule.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as production reports, time collection, equipment logs, and inspection reports.

Requirements

  • Completion of grade twelve (12) or equivalent.
  • Five to ten years of construction experience on railway and/or maintenance environments.
  • Valid Canadian Railway Operating Rules (CROR) and Track Inspection Guideline (TIG) certifications.
  • Supervisory experience directing and organizing work for multiple crews of workers.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Valid class five (5) driver's license or appropriate license as required for the unit.
  • Computer literacy and ability to perform time and equipment entry.
  • Physical fitness, good condition, and excellent vision, hearing, and eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.
