Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to work committed shifts in all areas of the Operating Room. This position involves working 8/10 and 12 hour shifts with on-call night and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent care to a diverse acute medical patient population in a fast-paced setting.
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and patient flow.
  • Participate in the CRTO's Quality Assurance Program and maintain current certifications.
  • Operate Anaesthesia equipment and demonstrate knowledge of Anaesthesiology and basic hemodynamic principles.
  • Insert arterial lines and demonstrate competence in this skill.
Requirements
  • RRT registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists in the General Class.
  • Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College.
  • Registered with the C.R.T.O.
  • Minimum 2 years recent critical care experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in arterial line insertion.
  • BCLS required, ACLS preferred.
