Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a part-time Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing excellent care to a diverse acute medical patient population in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Room, utilizing your knowledge of anaesthesiology, basic hemodynamic principles, and anaesthesia equipment.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal outcomes.
- Participate in the CRTO's Quality Assurance Program and maintain current knowledge of industry standards and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, demonstrating a commitment to interprofessional teaching and learning, customer service, and teamwork.
- RRT registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists in the General Class.
- Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College.
- Minimum 2 years recent critical care experience an asset.
- Demonstrated competence in arterial line insertion required.
- BCLS required; ACLS preferred.
