We are seeking a skilled Graduate Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across our hospital, including the Pulmonary Function Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Provide respiratory care services to patients, including assessment, treatment, and education.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests and analyze results to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement patient education programs to promote respiratory health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance respiratory care services.
- Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists in the Graduate Class.
- Practice according to the standards and guidelines set out by the College.
- BCLS and NRP certification required.
- Experience with asthma and COPD patient education preferred.
- Knowledge of adult education principles an asset.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience working with pediatrics and neonates preferred.
- Participates in the CRTO's Quality Assurance Program.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated problem assessment skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Demonstrated individual leadership skills.
