Role Overview

Reporting to the IT Director of Infrastructure Management & Innovation, the Infrastructure Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in crafting technical frameworks, overseeing the intake process for Infrastructure & Security, and ensuring adherence to architectural governance. This position is essential in managing the journey from initial requests through to comprehensive analysis and solution development, engaging relevant stakeholders for detailed design. Additionally, this role is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of architectural standards and documentation within our dynamic organization.

The Infrastructure Solutions Architect will engage in planning, estimation, and roadmap creation for IT initiatives, projects, and emerging technologies.

As a member of the Technical Architecture team, you will collaborate with various IT functions, including Security, Digital, Core Infrastructure, PMO, and Regional Service Delivery Managers, while also interacting with global business stakeholders.

Key Contributions:

Execute the intake processes for technical architecture, encompassing requirements gathering, consultation with specialists, solution investigation, and high-level design. Foster trusted advisor relationships and influential partnerships with peer architects and specialists, leveraging strong technological expertise to gather insights on ongoing and upcoming projects. Develop comprehensive solution architectures that span multiple work streams, identifying downstream dependencies, conducting solutions analysis, and leading proof of concepts. Provide consultation, develop project estimates (including time, resources, and costs), and support planning efforts. Manage and maintain architectural standards, reference architectures, and documentation repositories. Conduct architectural reviews and facilitate review meetings, ensuring alignment with standards and supporting governance processes. Maintain technology roadmaps. Collaborate with architects across various IT functions, including Digital, Security, and Applications. Research potential solutions, future trends, and innovations in technology, assessing their applicability to Infrastructure & Security. Offer subject matter expertise on technical architecture.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 8 years of progressive experience in architecting, designing, and implementing infrastructure systems. 3-5 years of experience in a senior IT network role. 3-5 years of experience within the Operational Technology domain, either in a consulting capacity or as part of an internal function. Deep expertise in at least two IT/OT infrastructure domains, with broad knowledge across all domains (e.g., Network Architecture, Inventory Management, Endpoint Protection, Policy & Governance, etc.) throughout the full lifecycle from planning to implementation and maintenance. Experience in establishing IT/OT roadmaps to target architecture. Proven experience leading assessments or evaluations of IT/OT environments, including analysis and reporting to key stakeholders. Minimum Cisco CCNA certification required; CCNP certification preferred or equivalent qualifications. Familiarity with security solutions such as DDoS, IPS, and PCI compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, Microsoft 365). Strong analytical skills, with the ability to produce detailed technical documentation at both high and detailed levels. Understanding of architecture frameworks and best practices (e.g., TOGAF). Knowledge of IT security management practices and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP).

This role requires effective communication and collaboration in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues and stakeholders across various regions.
