Job Title: Part-Time Professor, Emergency Services Fundamentals

At Durham College, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a part-time professor in the Emergency Services Fundamentals program.

About the Role:
  • Teach in the Emergency Services Fundamentals program, focusing on APCO Public Safety Telecommunicator
  • Develop and deliver curriculum that uses appropriate strategies and tools to assess student learning
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative, while effectively collaborating with students, the program team, and internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree with industry credentials, with a Master's degree being an asset
  • Current APCO Public Safety Instructor (Canadian) Certification required
  • Minimum of five years of recent work experience in the field, with teaching experience at the post-secondary level
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of Universal Design for Learning and current assessment methodologies
  • Experience participating in industry-led or community-based applied research is an asset
