Position Overview

The role of a Bookkeeper at Vaughan INN involves meticulous management of financial records and accounts. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of the financial operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Calculate and prepare cheques for employee compensation.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep of general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Journal Entries: Accurately post journal entries to reflect financial transactions.
  • Reporting: Prepare various statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed.
  • Trial Balance Preparation: Compile and prepare the trial balance of books.
  • Account Reconciliation: Ensure accounts are reconciled and discrepancies are addressed.
Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of College or CEGEP is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Work Hours: This position requires a commitment of 35 hours per week.
