Position Overview

GCL Builds Limited is seeking a dedicated Accounting Technician to manage and oversee financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and finance, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of College or CEGEP program in Accounting or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare payroll cheques.
  • Assess fixed assets and manage depreciation schedules.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records and balance various accounts through both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Oversee general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
  • Post journal entries accurately.
  • Compile and prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Generate trial balances of accounts.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in accounts.
Technical Proficiencies
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Skilled in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Experience with QuickBooks.
Work Environment
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
