Job Summary

Mulligans Restaurant & Lounge Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve high-quality food production and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food cost control strategies to optimize kitchen efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to achieve budgetary targets.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
