Mulligans Restaurant & Lounge Ltd. - Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Mulligans Restaurant & Lounge Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve high-quality food production and presentation.
  • Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food cost control strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create innovative and delicious menu items that meet the highest culinary standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to achieve exceptional performance and retention.
Requirements:
  • Other trades certificate or diploma in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Proven track record of leadership, team management, and menu planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Availability for shift or on-call work, as required.
