Position Overview

As the Technical Support Specialist located in our Vancouver office, you will be instrumental in supporting clients utilizing our fleet management and mine production software, Micromine Pitram. Your role will be pivotal in fostering client relationships and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction.

Reporting to the Head of the Micromine Pitram Business Unit, your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Delivering support via telephone, email, and in-person interactions for software license holders.
  • Facilitating training sessions for clients and internal personnel, both in-person and virtually.
  • Assisting with the implementation of Micromine Pitram across the Americas and globally as needed.
  • Identifying and addressing enhancement requests, bugs, and development challenges.
  • Conducting BETA testing for new software versions and products to evaluate functionality improvements.
  • Collaborating with the Sales team during technical demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in help desk support, technical assistance, or training roles.

Essential skills, experience, and qualifications include:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field
  • Proficiency in networking and database technologies (e.g., SQL and Oracle)
  • Experience in conducting training sessions for clients
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Willingness to travel nationally or internationally for Micromine Pitram implementations (approximately 20-25% of the year)
  • Previous exposure to the mining industry is preferred but not mandatory
  • Must reside in Greater Vancouver; remote candidates will not be considered
