Responsibilities Job Description

OVERVIEW

The role involves overseeing intricate planning tasks for equipment arrangements within various facilities, including production and administrative spaces. The position is tasked with optimizing the use of resources, including facilities, machinery, materials, and workforce, to enhance operational efficiency through the execution of the following responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

Foster a safe workplace environment and promote a culture focused on improving key safety metrics, emphasizing effective systems, cleanliness, and responsible behaviors. Cultivate a mindset of continuous enhancement through Lean Sigma practices and support initiatives within the organization. Deliver knowledge-driven solutions and services aimed at boosting client performance, collaborating with Business Development and Engineering teams to create value. Design equipment, facilities, components, and systems for the recovery and enhancement of metals, as well as aggregate production. Coordinate and provide operational and maintenance support for systems during field installations. Utilize computer-aided engineering and design tools to execute engineering assignments. Prepare financial justifications and capital expenditure summaries for all initiatives. Offer project management and field engineering support on-site. Supervise skilled tradespeople during the installation and modification of stationary equipment. Oversee the installation of plants, machinery, and ancillary systems. Develop initial plans in accordance with recognized engineering standards, relevant building codes, and national safety regulations. Assess the performance of processing equipment in relation to acceptable applications and maintenance costs. Draft specifications for components required for procurement. Review and approve all proposals for plant components and installation contracts. Estimate and summarize costs associated with projects, equipment, and plant installations. Authorize deviations from specifications and drawings as necessary. Create comprehensive layouts for material flow and assess environmental impacts. Calculate all necessary utility requirements for processing by-product materials from steel mills. Gain familiarity with PLC controllers.
