Job Summary

The Web Titans Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Maintenance and Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of our network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation and Installation: Assess and implement computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to optimize network performance.
  • Problem-Solving and Support: Provide expert technical assistance to network users, resolving issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Backup and Recovery Operations: Perform routine data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Network Configuration and Optimization: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, and implement network traffic and security monitoring software to optimize server performance.
  • Web Development and Maintenance: Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Technical Leadership: Supervise technical staff and provide guidance on best practices and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
