Key Responsibilities

The Manager, IT Business Solutions will be responsible for the support of all Line of Business (LoB) systems. This includes managing the alignment of business requirements with Westland's business needs and goals, coordinating configuration functions, and ensuring there is consistent and quality level 2 support for all LoB systems.

Key Performance Indicators
  • Provide strong leadership to a diverse team of business analysts, configuration analysts, and business application support specialists
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Insurance Broker Operations Specialist to implement efficient solutions that enhance productivity, user experience, and overall performance
  • Oversee the team's handling of application support requests, incidents, and escalations
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues, minimizing downtime, and optimizing system functionality
  • Establish and enforce best practices for business analysis, configuration management, and application support
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to team members to foster their professional growth and enhance their technical expertise
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes innovation, growth, and teamwork
  • Prepare and present regular reports on team performance and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements
  • Over 5 years of experience in a managerial role, leading and motivating teams of business analysts, configuration analysts, and application support specialists
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related fields
  • Solid knowledge of application support methodologies, incident management, and problem-solving techniques
  • Familiarity with software configuration management practices and principles
  • Working knowledge of the insurance and brokerage industry
  • Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in visual/written formats
  • Detail-oriented and methodical with a well-organized approach
