About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer Data to join our Identity Verifications team at Square. As a Staff Software Engineer Data, you will be responsible for designing and building solutions that help customers onboard to Cash App.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable and efficient software solutions to support customer onboarding
- Collaborate closely with Compliance and Legal teams to support audits and implement regulatory controls
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to provide support for our services
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical initiatives
- Develop and maintain high-quality software code, following industry best practices
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience working on complex systems and delivering quality software
- Well-developed curiosity and enjoy building creative solutions to complex problems
- Expertise in the full software development life cycle
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
- Experience with Java 11, including JUnit, Hibernate, Guice, and Jersey
- Experience with Kotlin, MySQL, and Amazon Web Services
