Senior Commercial Lending Leader

Job Summary
This is a senior leadership role within the Commercial Banking team at Royal Bank of Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of commercial lending specialists to deliver exceptional client experiences and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the commercial lending team to achieve business objectives and deliver high-quality client service.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to drive business growth, improve client relationships, and increase market share.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal partners to ensure seamless delivery of commercial lending services.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of commercial lending specialists, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Collaborate with other business units and teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and develop solutions to address business challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to ensure the commercial lending team is well-informed and compliant.
Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in commercial lending and banking, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
- Excellent financial, credit, and accounting skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in both French and English is required to serve RBC's French and English-speaking clients in this market.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven track record of leading and coaching professional teams to high standards of performance.
