Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of Financing Specialists and contribute to an exceptional client experience by advising on credit needs. As a leader, you will be responsible for guiding your team to excel in their roles while maintaining an acceptable exposure and balance of risk/reward within the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching to the Financing Specialist team
  • Lead and advocate change within the organization by building engagement and inspiring your team to achieve desired outcomes
  • Create a winning culture, building an engaged and skilled team through coaching, developing, and demonstrating belief in your team
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships and routines with Group Risk Management, Vice Presidents CFS, Compliance, and Operational Risk partners
  • Manage risk and operational effectiveness by fostering and coaching partnerships in the management and completion of expired Borrower Risk Rating (BRR) and ongoing credit approvals
Requirements
  • Minimum 5-7 years commercial lending and banking experience
  • Ability to manage a geographically diverse and mobile team
  • Actively foster a continuous learning mindset and professional development of team members
  • Excellent financial, credit, and accounting skills
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of credit management, product, and pricing policies, privacy, code of conduct, and anti-money laundering requirements
  • Fluency in both French and English to serve RBC's French and English-speaking customers
