Your Role as Industrial Security Lead:

In the capacity of Industrial Security Lead, you will oversee and implement all security functions within the facility. This includes managing daily security operations, personnel security, program support, physical security, information security, document control, and access management. You will be responsible for upholding all corporate policies related to the safeguarding of L3Harris' intellectual property. This senior-level position demands a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive knowledge in Industrial Security, tasked with developing, strategizing, and managing internal security program policies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively, exhibit flexibility, prioritize effectively, and manage customer expectations in a fast-paced environment. You will engage with both internal and external stakeholders, including government security officials, in the execution of security responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt and clear guidance to personnel on all security-related issues;
  • Support compliance with the Canadian Industrial Security Program, Contract Security Program, Controlled Goods Program, and ITAR;
  • Ensure adherence to all physical and intangible security protocols outlined in the Corporate Security Policies;
  • Oversee compliance of Company Data Management with government, corporate, and customer security requirements;
  • Manage access control systems and surveillance to ensure compliance with Corporate Security Policies;
  • Enforce compliance with access and badge policies for all employees and visitors;
  • Develop and implement both general and site-specific security policies and procedures;
  • Act as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official for business units;
  • Serve as the Site Security representative for Counter Intelligence functions;
  • Manage security considerations for travel, including personal protection plans and IT asset compliance;
  • Coordinate security policies with L3Harris Corporate Security, IT, and Global Trade Compliance;
  • Provide training to employees on security matters;
  • Develop and manage the Crisis Management Plan and emergency response strategies;
  • Support the Business Continuity Program.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Security with relevant exposure to Controlled Goods, Export Control, and Industrial Security;
  • Eligibility for an Industrial Security Clearance at the NATO Secret level;
  • Experience in Risk Assessment and Security Investigation;
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English;
  • Experience in counter cyber espionage is an asset;
  • Knowledge of ITP planning and CI incident response strategies;
  • Experience with Insider Threat Working Groups and compliance development;
  • Proficient in managing access control systems such as SIMS;
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Cloud technology.

  • Willingness to travel, including regular trips to Ottawa and potential international travel.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Eligibility for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Canadian government Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Compliance with U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
