Position Overview

As a key member of our team at Associated Engineering, you will play a vital role in overseeing construction activities and ensuring compliance with project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site representation and support for construction activities, ensuring adherence to engineering designs and contract documents.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to promote effective project coordination.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments to verify that construction work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including reports, logs, and correspondence related to project progress and issues.
  • Monitor project schedules and assist in the evaluation of construction progress against established timelines.
  • Utilize your knowledge of construction safety regulations to promote a safe working environment on-site.
  • Engage in the review and interpretation of technical specifications, plans, and construction codes.
  • Assist in the management of project-related documentation, including change orders and deficiency lists.
  • Support the commissioning of mechanical and process systems post-construction.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Civil, Process, or Mechanical Engineering, or a diploma in Construction Management from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer designation or eligibility for registration is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in construction site representation or project management, particularly in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, including MS Word, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Commitment to safety and knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
