Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Fleet Manager to join our team at ETLAS FREIGHT. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for managing our transportation fleet, ensuring compliance with regulations, and overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Finances and Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our transportation operations, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Arrange Shipping Documentation: Ensure that all necessary shipping documents are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Transport Compliance: Verify that all transportation activities are in compliance with relevant regulations and laws.
  • Establish Policies and Standards: Develop and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
  • Negotiate Services and Rates: Negotiate with service providers to secure the best rates and services for our company.
  • Oversee Vehicle Scheduling: Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor Revenue: Track and analyze revenue from transportation operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Record Cargo Information: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, including hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Plan and Direct Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily transportation operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Trucking company.
  • Supervision: More than 20 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, analytical, proactive.
