Position Overview

In the role of Certified Warehouseperson - I, you will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and will be tasked with the management of material receipts, secure storage, and the accurate distribution of supplies essential for operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong leadership in safety, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental protocols
  • Manage the shipping, receiving, and secure storage of materials
  • Conduct tasks such as recommending minimum and maximum inventory levels, processing orders, and performing cycle counts
  • Safely operate warehouse machinery, including industrial forklifts
  • Handle heavy lifting while adhering to safety standards
  • Ensure the efficient and safe execution of warehouse-related projects in a dynamic environment
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson's certification in Warehouse, Parts, or a related field
  • Completion of High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comprehensive understanding of warehousing operations
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a materials management system
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and address challenges effectively
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities
  • Previous experience in a mining or industrial setting is advantageous
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, JDE, and Maximo is considered a significant asset
