In the role of Certified Warehouseperson - I, you will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor and will be tasked with the management of material receipt, secure storage, and the appropriate distribution of supplies essential for operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit strong leadership in safety, adhering to and promoting environmental and safety protocols
- Manage the shipping, receiving, and secure storage of materials
- Execute tasks such as recommending inventory levels, fulfilling orders, and conducting cycle counts
- Safely operate warehouse machinery, including industrial forklifts
- Perform physical lifting and handling of materials in a safe manner
- Ensure efficient completion of warehouse-related projects in a dynamic environment
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline operational processes
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson's certification in Warehouse, Parts, or equivalent
- Completion of High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED), or equivalent
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Comprehensive understanding of warehousing operations
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a materials management system
- Capability to handle multiple tasks and address challenges effectively
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Previous experience in a mining or industrial setting is advantageous
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, JDE, and Maximo is a significant asset
