Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Specialist to provide exceptional care for children in a nurturing environment. This role involves supporting families with various childcare needs, ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere for children.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a relevant trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking household.
  • Work setting includes the employer's home with room and board provided.
Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany families on trips, assisting with child supervision and household tasks.
  • Provide care including bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals for children.
  • Facilitate rest periods for infants and children.
  • Supervise children and ensure their safety.
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments.
Certifications
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
Target Audience
  • Experience in supervising and caring for twins and children.
  • Familiarity with special needs children, including premature infants.
Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to detail and capability to perform repetitive tasks.
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 23 kg (50 lbs).
