Job Title: Home Childcare Provider

We are seeking a reliable and caring Home Childcare Provider to join our team at Michael Peterman. As a Home Childcare Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to families in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing childcare services to children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. You will be required to create a safe and engaging environment for children, plan and implement activities, and maintain open communication with parents.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality childcare services to children of various ages
  • Create a safe and engaging environment for children
  • Plan and implement activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's daily activities, meals, and any issues that may arise
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and healthy environment
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children
  • Assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties during family trips
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
  • Discipline children according to the methods requested by parents
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  • Organize activities such as games and outings for children
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  • Supervise and care for children
  • Tend to the emotional well-being of children
  • Cook
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in childcare
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a non-smoking environment and will be required to travel with families on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.

Language:

The language of work is English or French.Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 80 hours bi-weekly.

Relocation is not required for this position.
