HUM Law is seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate or Counsel to join our team in Toronto. This role requires a lawyer with at least 5 years of experience in providing expert legal advice on employment law matters to both employers and employees, as well as litigation and strategy development.
We value excellence, quality, and conscientiousness in the practice of law. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of complex legal issues, excellent advocacy skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work product efficiently. Additionally, they should be able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, and be proactive in managing files and contributing to business development initiatives.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Licensed as a lawyer by the Law Society of Ontario
- 5 or more years of employment/labour law experience with demonstrated understanding of complex legal issues
- Advocacy skills, both written and oral, mainly on wrongful dismissal claims and human rights applications
- Excellent English language skills, both written and oral, with French language skills or additional languages an asset
