Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at Aramark. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, guiding, and executing contracted services at our client site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to standards and procedures, taking ownership of all kitchen operations.
  • Conduct weekly safety observations to ensure a safe work environment and proper safety protocols are followed.
  • Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Ensure accurate completion of logs, including HACCP, sanitizer, and dish machine temperature records.
  • Conduct daily audits of food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to SOPs.
  • Complete monthly inventory and update accounting software accordingly.
  • Enter staff schedules into Kronos one week in advance.
  • Lead department meetings and client meetings as assigned.
  • Assist with marketing open houses and complete ordering for Sysco, Agropur, Weston, and Centennial as needed.
  • Enter invoices into accounting software daily.
  • Ensure staff follow proper food handling procedures and maintain food in a temperature safety zone.
  • Collaborate with the dietician to update weekly diet sheets and communicate changes to food service staff.
  • Assist with menu development and display a polite, spirit-of-service attitude towards customers and coworkers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A minimum 2-year college diploma with a management, hotel/restaurant, or dietetic specialty.
  • Previous experience in management or supervision in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, analysis, and decision-making skills.
  • Word, Office, and Excel knowledge is required.
