Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Red Deer OJs Ltd. o/a Original Joe's Red Deer. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning: Plan and develop menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our brand standards.
  • Culinary Leadership: Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality in the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure that the kitchen has the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Staff Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Health Benefits: Health care plan.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
