Key Account Manager

Job Summary:
The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in enhancing company value by retaining and growing UniFirst's uniform rental, direct sale, and other products and services connected to our largest key accounts. This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and driving business growth through proactive relationship building, sales, and service.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel and decision makers at all levels within your accounts through regular outreach and meetings.
- Conduct regular visits and schedule biannual account reviews to assess service performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Utilize internal and external resources to retain customers, increase rental revenue, and develop new revenue opportunities.
- Update records with all pertinent information on a daily basis and maintain customer contract/PO status.
- Work closely with all UniFirst departments to ensure customer satisfaction exceeds customer expectations.
- Generate leads to turn over to Service and Sales teams when necessary.
- Prepare reports of business transactions and maintain expense accounts.
- Communicate effectively with your manager about service and sales challenges, successes, and needs associated with new business generation.
- Attend weekly meetings and stay up-to-date on sales skills, professional knowledge, and self-training to maximize professional growth and advancement.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred. 3 to 5+ years of successful sales and/or service experience. Must be able to travel approximately 70% - 80% for customer interfacing. Excellent people, communication, and interpersonal skills for relationship building. Strong contract and negotiation skills. Good judgment/decision making. Problem solving (solutions and execution). Order writing, proposals, and pricing.
