We are currently seeking a Regional Dietitian to enhance our team in the Colchester/Cumberland area of Nova Scotia. This role will involve travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the creation of menus that adhere to therapeutic nutrition guidelines.
  • Evaluate residents' nutritional status upon admission and at least bi-annually; monitor monthly weight changes and follow up as necessary.
  • Address individual dietary concerns of clients.
  • Establish and maintain personalized nutritional plans for each client.
  • Conduct texture modification assessments upon referral.
  • Oversee and plan for special dietary needs, including allergies and medical conditions.
  • Deliver educational sessions on nutrition to staff and clients based on identified needs.
  • Communicate nutrition care plans to clients, families, and staff as appropriate.
  • Collect and input relevant data into the database.
  • Document clinical nutrition indicators on a monthly basis.
  • Manage the dietary services budget, including preparation of purchase orders and verification of invoices.

Qualifications
