About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. This role will be responsible for executing the day-to-day tactical aspects of the HR department, contributing to the attraction, support, and retention of top talent, and supporting the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and HR programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, manage the recruitment process, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
  2. Compensation and Benefits: Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits packages that align with industry standards and support the organization's goals.
  3. Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management processes that support employee growth and development, and ensure that employees are held accountable for their performance.
  4. Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, employee complaints, and workplace investigations.
  5. Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs that support employee development and enhance the organization's capabilities.
Requirements
  1. University or college degree in Human Resources or Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources.
  2. Certified Human Resources designation considered an asset.
  3. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in a client-focused HR generalist role.
  4. Working experience building and implementing an HCM or HRIS.
  5. Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing.
  6. Strong time management and organizational skills and attention to detail to manage work, competing deadlines, and sensitive projects.
  7. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  8. Team player, able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  9. Self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
  10. Professionalism, tact, and reasoning capabilities.
  11. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  12. Able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities with a positive attitude.
  13. Demonstrated problem-solving and influencing skills.
  14. Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office.
  15. Knowledge of Canada Labour Code, considered an asset.
  16. Knowledge of current and awareness of emerging legislative obligations and their application in the workplace.
  17. Knowledge of the Hay job evaluation tool considered an asset.
  18. Ability to obtain a Government of Canada Personnel Screening/Security Clearance.
  19. Ability to travel within Ontario and Michigan.
  20. Hours of work may include evenings and weekends.
