Job Title: Human Resources Adviser

Join Ontario Sky Jump as a Human Resources Adviser and contribute to the success of our organization. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to our employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations to drive business results.
  • Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures to optimize HR resources.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate human resources policies and programs to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
  • Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs, and collective agreements to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Mediate labour disputes and grievances to resolve conflicts and maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations to ensure accurate compensation and benefits.
  • Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales to inform HR decisions.
  • Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Manage contracts and agreements to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs to drive employee growth and development.
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information to inform HR decisions.
  • Research employee benefits and health and safety practices to recommend improvements.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high-performing HR team.
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to promote open communication and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee payroll administration to ensure accurate and timely payment.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
  • Propose improvements to methods, systems, and procedures to enhance HR efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Human resources software proficiency.
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fast-paced environment and attention to detail.
  • Large workload and ability to multitask.
  • Excellent judgement and organizational skills.

Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in human resources.
