About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team in Etobicoke, ON, Canada. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our distribution center leaders, driving talent acquisition and retention, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with distribution center leaders to identify and deploy creative and engaging workforce and talent solutions
  • Provide support and guidance to management and other staff, investigating allegations and driving implementation of solutions where relevant
  • Manage and support the talent acquisition process, including hourly recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants
  • Partner with talent acquisition on hiring process for salaried openings
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits, researching and proposing competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Leverage learning and development programs and initiatives to provide internal development opportunities for employees
  • Represent the organization in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Work with cross-functional partners to support leaves, payroll, and benefits of distribution center employees
  • Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations
About You
  • 5 years' minimum experience in a distribution center environment or similar
  • Trusted adviser and partner to leaders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive employee relations
  • Strong relationship builder, solutions-oriented, team player
Additional Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a distribution center environment or similar
  • Track record of driving change to create a positive work environment
