Clinical Instructor Role

This position is a temporary, sessional opportunity within the nursing department. The Clinical Instructor will play a vital role in delivering clinical education to nursing students, aligning with the core values of Confederation College, which emphasize respect, compassion, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exemplify proficient nursing practices
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clinical partners
  • Engage in clinical orientation training sessions
  • Contribute to the nursing curriculum development
  • Facilitate student engagement in clinical environments
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Lead pre-clinical and post-clinical discussions
  • Implement nursing processes and uphold professional standards
  • Foster an inclusive learning atmosphere
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing
  • Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • A minimum of 5 years of nursing practice
  • Experience in clinical education
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Certification in a nursing specialty from the Canadian Nurses Association
  • Experience with clinical simulation techniques
  • Dedication to ongoing professional growth

The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
