We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Instructor to join our team at Confederation College. As a Clinical Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals by providing high-quality clinical education and training.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinical education programs that meet the needs of our students and the healthcare industry.
- Provide expert clinical instruction and mentorship to students in a variety of clinical settings.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a seamless and effective learning experience for students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment strategies that promote student learning and success.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing education and clinical practice.
- Possession of a PN Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized College or University.
- Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Membership with a Nursing Professional organization in Ontario.
- Recent and relevant clinical experience in one or more of the following areas: acute medicine, general surgery, complex chronic care, rehabilitation, long term care, pediatrics, obstetrics, and/or mental health.
- A minimum of five or more years of active full-time nursing experience.
- A Bachelor or Master's degree in Nursing with a previous diploma in Practical Nursing.
- A current specialty certification with the Canadian Nurses Association (CANA).
- Experience in the use of clinical simulation as a complement to nursing education.
- Advanced nursing experience in the areas of clinical education, nursing leadership and management.
