Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Instructor to join our team at Confederation College. As a Clinical Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals by providing high-quality clinical education and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical education programs that meet the needs of our students and the nursing community.
  • Provide expert clinical instruction and mentorship to students in a variety of clinical settings.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a seamless and effective learning experience for our students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and assessment strategies that promote student learning and success.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing education and clinical practice.
Requirements
  • Possession of a PN Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized College or University.
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Membership with a Nursing Professional organization in Ontario.
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience in one or more of the following areas: acute medicine, general surgery, complex chronic care, rehabilitation, long term care, pediatrics, obstetrics, and/or mental health.
  • A minimum of five or more years of active full-time nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Nursing with a previous diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • A current specialty certification with the Canadian Nurses Association (CANA).
  • Experience in the use of clinical simulation as a complement to nursing education.
  • Advanced nursing experience in the areas of clinical education, nursing leadership and management.
