ROLE OBJECTIVE
The primary objective of the Senior Wealth Planning Associate is to furnish financial planning support to a dedicated Wealth Advisor team in the preparation and delivery of personalized financial strategies to the Advisor's clientele.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In this capacity, you will:
- Promote a client-centric culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Proactively address the financial planning requirements of the Advisor's assigned clients, which includes conducting in-depth discussions to uncover goals and objectives, preparing, and presenting the financial plan.
- Develop financial strategies that align with clients' immediate and long-term goals and objectives.
- Offer alternative scenarios or solutions when clients face challenges in achieving their goals.
- Identify and communicate referral opportunities to advisors.
- Contribute to the ongoing professional practice by participating in monthly Total Wealth Planning discussions.
- Provide general support to the Wealth Advisor and team by sharing updates on financial planning trends and strategic recommendations that may benefit their clients.
- Foster a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS
We would be excited to collaborate with you if you possess:
- CFP Designation is mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of the financial planning process, including investments, asset protection, retirement, estate planning, and tax considerations.
- Post-secondary education from a College or University.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of financial planning software; ability to model complex strategies and adapt to new changes and regulations.
- Experience in Total Wealth Planning engagement from client discovery, plan preparation to presentation delivery.
- Experience in a client-facing role with the capacity to provide financial advice.
- Canadian Securities Course and/or Life Insurance License is advantageous.
