As we embark on the next phase of our growth, we are seeking a Financial Product Strategist to enhance our offerings.

The Role:

This position will concentrate on our Financial Planning products. Nest Wealth is a recognized leader in the Canadian Financial Planning sector and aims to broaden our capabilities for Financial Advisors and End-Investors. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of the financial planning landscape and demonstrate empathy for Financial Advisors and End-Investors in both North American and European markets.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing high-quality products that resonate with customers, leveraging strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential, and you will enjoy a significant degree of autonomy while working alongside a Senior Product Designer and a Tech Lead throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Customer Value: Create and launch products that prioritize user experience, balancing desirability, feasibility, and viability.
  • Test & Learn: Conduct ongoing discovery cycles, test new ideas, document findings, prototype, and iterate rapidly.
  • Develop Customer Empathy: Actively engage with customers to gain insights into their needs and challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Financial Planning Expertise: Conduct market research, engage with customers, and understand their objectives and pain points.
  • Initiative Breakdown: Formulate smaller, actionable hypotheses and experiments to validate value delivery.
  • Productivity & Planning Balance: Guide your agile team to achieve meaningful results while planning for future initiatives.
  • Usability & Technical Debt Prioritization: Maintain a balance while executing product tasks.
  • Trade-off Evaluation: Collaborate with stakeholders to present feasible options.
  • Priority Alignment: Ensure that all team members are aligned on priorities and product decisions.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data to inform choices and report progress transparently.
  • Leadership: Exhibit strong communication, time management, and negotiation skills.
  • Independent & Team Collaboration: Manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Employ critical thinking to address challenges.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with marketing on product positioning, pricing, and customer education initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with B2B products.
  • Background in developing Financial Planning products.
  • Familiarity with financial planning designations such as CFP, PFP, or QAFP is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the needs of financial advisors in North America and Europe.
  • Experience with 0-1 product development.
  • Knowledge of go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
  • Passion for the fintech industry.
