KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Management: Supervise and direct the daily financial activities of the organization, including accounting, payroll, and cash flow management, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Reporting: Generate and present financial statements and comprehensive reports, providing strategic insights to senior leadership regarding financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Process Improvement: Design, implement, and sustain effective financial processes and systems to enhance and automate accounting functions, focusing on areas such as invoicing, reconciliations, payroll, and reporting.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Internal Controls: Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Data Analysis: Employ advanced data analytics and financial modeling techniques to derive insights and optimize key financial metrics, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.
- Audit Coordination: Oversee and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of audit requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist with tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and the preparation of accounting policies and complex memos to ensure adherence to IFRS.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support for operational and strategic initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex financial operations and implementing internal controls and process enhancements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or similar platforms, along with proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools.
