About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our GSK Finance functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 1-4 members, reporting financial results for commercial entities, and preparing month-end reports for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of 1-4 members to ensure effective financial management and control.
- Report financial results for commercial entities, with a focus on tracking, reporting, and analyzing actuals versus budget variances.
- Prepare month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and working capital.
- Accountable for internal controls and ensuring adherence to IFRS principles.
- Support internal and external audits and SOX controls review cycles.
- Main point of contact for local units and responsible for tax calculation review and supporting statutory reporting.
- Manage all aspects of the financial month-end review process, including Operational Excellence and Headcount reporting requirements.
- Perform variance analysis for Balance Sheet, Operating expenses, Margins, and Profitability, and review financial information against historical run rates and future growth plans.
- Participate in business reviews meetings as appropriate and sign-off of statutory results with in-market FD.
Requirements
- Accounting degree or qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Finance controlling experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Experience of working with SOX and SAP.
- Fluent English (minimum C1).
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Developed analytical skills and outside-the-box thinking and problem-solving skills.
- People management experience is preferred.
