About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Schlegel Villages Inc. as a Nursing Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Medication Management: Administer medications as required, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
  • Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable environment, including laundry and light housekeeping duties.
  • Companionship and Social Interaction: Engage residents in activities, provide emotional support, and promote social interaction.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, such as falls or medical incidents, and provide first aid as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a care setting, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and other relevant certifications.
