About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Schlegel Villages Inc. as a Nursing Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as provide personal care and hygiene support.
  • Nursing Care: Take vital signs, administer medications, and provide basic care and support to residents.
  • Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including laundry and light housekeeping duties.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities and conversations to promote social interaction.
  • Documentation: Accurately document resident care and progress, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: Experience an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, immunization records, vulnerable sector check, and tuberculosis test.
