Job Title: Pharmacy Manager

Lakeridge Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for the management of daily operations in the Pharmacy department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Pharmacy department, including drug distribution, medication management, and narcotic and controlled substance oversight.
  • Develop and implement department processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacy professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy leadership team and other healthcare teams to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and professional standards, and maintain high-quality care.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent entry-to-practice degree)
  • Current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy hospital practice with supervisory, management, or leadership experience
  • Advanced Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D) from a recognized university (asset)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management, leadership skills, project management skills
  • Excellent change management, organizational planning, assessment and evaluation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to lead effectively and create a high-performance culture through management strategies that facilitate growth and development
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospital functions and current trends in healthcare
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a unionized environment
  • Proven conflict management/resolution skills
  • Proven ability to critically analyze and problem-solve
  • Understanding of Accreditation Canada and Ontario College of Pharmacists Hospital Inspection standards and processes
  • Experience with budgets and monitoring costs associated with pharmaceutical projections and utilization
