Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Whole Body Order Writer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our order fulfillment team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate orders, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase and replenish products through proper buying procedures to ensure timely and accurate orders.
  • Monitor inventory turns and ensure the product mix meets varied customer dietary needs and requests.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned margin and sales targets by maximizing sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
  • Build product displays according to movement, promotions, profitability, value, and regional guidance to maximize sales and customer engagement.
  • Oversee customer special order procedure and maintain and monitor department waste, spoilage, and transfer logs to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized working and shopping environment, adhering to WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership to support the success of the team and the company.
Requirements
  • 12+ months retail experience, preferably in a similar role or with a strong understanding of natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong basic math skills, knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ordering systems, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in an 8-hour workday with standing/walking 6-8 hours, sitting 1-4 hours, and hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
