About the Role

Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) is a Crown corporation responsible for arranging supports and services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our Financial Compliance team as a Compliance Auditor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Compliance Audits: Conduct thorough financial audits of independent service providers to ensure compliance with CLBC's contractual and reporting requirements.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare detailed reports and provide recommendations to improve financial processes and internal controls.
  • Business Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial and operational policies, processes, and agreements to mitigate risks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and implement improvements to CLBC's contract funding and accountability policy, procedures, and practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of closely related work experience in auditing or conducting financial compliance activities.
  • Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and highly motivated and results-oriented.
  • Professional Designation: Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) is preferred.
