About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Margorie Jamison & Margaret Watts et al. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Accounting Systems: Develop and implement improvements to our accounting systems and management practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Field Audits: Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including the Income Tax Act and the Canadian Business Corporations Act.
  • Financial Statement Audits: Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting.
  • Professional Development: Maintain and enhance your professional certifications, including the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior financial analyst role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software, MS Office, and MS Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Language: English.
