Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Financial Cost Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and managing the company's operational costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address financial performance gaps.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Perform month-end closing duties, including cost reclassifications, allocations, and accruals.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in finance or accounting.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial finance or accounting.
  • Possess or working towards a professional designation such as CPA.
  • Experience with JD Edwards E1 and SAP BI is an asset.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
